MAINE knits Pattern Spotlight: Old Speck Cardigan

December 21, 2016 Beatrice Perron Dahlen

Pattern spotlight: Old Speck Cardigan by Beatrice Perron Dahlen (me) from MAINE knits

As I mentioned before, I wanted to be sure there were a few patterns in MAINE knits to meet all your family knitting needs.  I wanted at least one knit I could make for my husband, my son, my daughter... and ME!  Because really this is a style that is a wardrobe staple for me personally.  And while the pattern is sized for men, a few tweaks of sleeve and body length, and yoke depth and voila!  The pattern is sized for children and adults.  The green version (modeled by my husband) is knit in Bartlett Yarns 2 ply, while the gray is in Swan's Island All American.  In short, it will work with most worsted weight yarns.  And if you've never seen buttons from Wooly Moss Roots, you should pop over to their shop now, because their products are fantastic!
